Valerie White is first and foremost a storyteller. She has specific ideas and messages that are expressed in her Art.

Valerie works with intent. Her goal is to create Art that suggests new considerations for objects that are mundane and familiar. As a multi- media artist she has chosen to express herself using textiles. Her multi-media approach includes textile paint, dye, and markers as well as removing and adding color. The process of layering in cloth is what particularly attracts her. Valerie is attempting to produce cloth that is mysterious, and the idea of seeing almost invisible images created by color and stitch intrigues her.

Valerie's work has won critical acclaim, and been included in numerous prestigious exhibits, including  "And Still We Rise: Race, Culture and Visual Conversations" which was displayed at the Bullock Texas State Museum in Austin, from June to August of 2015.
