Evening Monthly Guild Meeting - Cotton and Indigo from Japan with Teresa Duryea Wong

Teresa promises a lively and fun lecture that will appeal to quilters of all types. Her presentation will cover the fascinating history of Japan’s cotton & indigo – two epic plants that changed the world. She’ll also talk about Japanese quilts made with very old & very new textiles and share the stories behind traditional folk textiles such as boro & sashiko 

While researching her new book, Teresa was granted exclusive tours inside Japan’s esteemed textile printing mills and she’ll explain why some of the finest quilting cotton in the world is being printed in Japan.

She’ll be bringing her new book “Cotton & Indigo from Japan” to autograph and sell. The book is a beautiful hard cover book filled with 300 images and gorgeous quilts.

She’ll also be bringing a variety of Japanese quilting cotton fabric to sell, so you won’t want to miss this special shopping opportunity.
