Convergence Quilt-Ann Blasdel

Despite its looks, this quilt is very easy to assemble.  Ricky Tims inspired me to make this quilt after his recent Quilt Luminarium in Houston.  The important skills to employ to make this quilt a success are straight cuts and matched seams.

Supply list

4 squares of different fabrics, one of them preferably a design showing strong movement across the fabric.  Each square cut to approximately 15-16”.  OR 1 yard of Ricky Tims’ hand-dyed Caveman fabric.

Rotary Cutter

Acrylic ruler—at least 24” long.

Sewing machine with preferred foot for sewing seams

Thread

Ricky Tims’ pattern-$5

I recommend looking up Convergent Quilts on Google to see how the different fabrics affect the final look of the quilt.

I will place an order for patterns and Ricky Tims’ fabric before the workshop. Ann will order Ricky Tims' fabric because there is a price break for multiple yards.
