 Mono printing is an easy and exciting technique used to create a one of a kind fabric. Saturday’s workshop will include a variety of approaches and applications to making unique fabric for creating whole cloth quilts or cutting for piecing quilts.

This technique is appropriate for anyone interested in exploring surface design, no previous experience is necessary. Fail proof results!!

Participants will print their own fabric using textile paint. We will use the finished mono print from this workshop  be used to make a Prayer Flag in Sunday's workshop.





Class supply list:

  • 1 ½ yards Prepared for Dye (PFD) Kona cotton - white or light value color fabric , cut into 13x 13 inch squares. Can be purchased at Joann’s - Online or In-store
  • Textile Paint no particular brand necessary, can be purchased from Joann's, Michael's, or Hobby Lobby, 4 to 6 ounces each. Purchase 4 to 5 different colors, we will share.
  • Paper towels, Foam Brushes, Old credit cards or plastic gift cards,
  • Stamps, foam plates from meat packing or foam paper plates.
  • Light weight rubber gloves,
  • Wonder Under 1 yard
  • Ecco felt 1 yard
  • Iron and portable iron surface
  • Basic sewing supplies, scissors,
  • Supply fee 5-10 dollars

Instructor will provide:
Heavy Duty Acetate sheets  
Texture plates and foam brushes
Transparency Base
Geli Plates
Mild dish detergent
Misty fuse
